Capital Market Outlook for Autumn 2021

ODDO BHF1 Minute

On 9 November, ODDO BHF’s CIO, Prof. Jan Viebig, gave his capital market’s view for autumn 2021 covering growth, inflation, bonds, China, and equities. His core message: growth will be stable throughout the US, Europe and Germany, but will decrease in China due to problems in the real estate sector. Inflation rates are expected at around 5%. Thus, central banks on both sides of the Atlantic will begin to lower the tapering. Accordingly, ODDO BHF will stay neutral in equities and continue to focus on quality stocks with high capital efficiency ratios, clear competitive advantages, structural growth and reasonable prices.
