Our Commitment

Reduce our environmental impact

Reduce our environmental impact

In line with our desire to be a responsible actor through our investment policy, we also wish to limit our own impact on the environment and make sure that we manage our carbon footprint.

The Group's employees have a strong desire to make an internal commitment to the environment, by changing their behaviour and with the aim of reducing their environmental impact and that of the Group. They are therefore associated with the efforts initiated by the Group and project leaders for a constant improvement.

Our Low-Carbon Approach

Our Low-Carbon Approach

The carbon assessment that was carried out in 2020 using 2019 data is enabling us to keep track of our carbon emissions and establish the basis on which we will implement our action plan.

In order to perform this carbon review, we worked with the specialist firm Crowe - Sustainable Metrics.

The priorities identified to achieve a credible reduction target cover 5 areas:

  • An even more sustainable and low-carbon purchasing policy
  • A carbon-free mobility policy (business trips and commuting)
  • Optimised use of buildings (energy, waste, logistics...)
  • Improvement of the sustainable digital approach (equipment lifespan…)
  • An internal and external communication and awareness-raising plan on climate issues

Sustainable initiatives

Sustainable initiatives

In France, Germany and Tunisia, employees meet in Sustainable Development Committees to propose actions that commit the Group and its stakeholders. Several initiatives have been put in place:

  • Elimination of plastic bottles and cups on the premises and distribution of eco cups and glass bottles to employees
  • Preference for local circuits for cocktails and lunches organized in our premises
  • Printing policy to reduce paper use
  • Installation of eco-responsible coffee bean machines in France
  • Installation of water coolers in France and Germany
  • In 2019 we initiated a partnership with APR2, a company operating in the sheltered employment sector that recovers and recycles obsolete or unused computer equipment. This initiative covers both office equipment and employees' personal equipment that they can bring into the office.
In 2020 and 2021, more than 15 tons of material was collected by the structure.
  • Installation of centralized sorting bins on all our French sites

Responsible Purchasing and Travel Policies

Responsible Purchasing and Travel Policies

The Group has developed a responsible purchasing policy by using the sheltered employment sector and selecting responsible service providers and suppliers.

We are also committed to extending the scope of Ecovadis-assessed suppliers to the whole Group. A monitoring and verification process is systematically put in place within the framework of contracts with our suppliers and subcontractors to check compliance with regulations under the French Employment Code and the payment of social security contributions.

After obtaining a silver medal in 2017, ODDO BHF SCA was granted an Ecovadis gold medal in 2019, which was renewed in 2020. The three areas in which we have improved are environmental, social and ethical.

Our travel policy is also committed and we encourage the use of rail rather than air travel with a view to reducing our carbon emissions.
