Our commitment to a sustainable future

In our management strategies, our HR policy, or through our dedicated bodies (endowment fund and foundation), we promote the sustainable economic development of the territories in which we operate.

RSE

The ODDO BHF Group business areas are strongly involved in CSR.

• Since 2005, the Group has developed an ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) centre of expertise within the engagement analysis office.
• ODDO BHF Asset Management manages several ESG funds amounting to over EUR 6.6 billion in assets that respect the United Nations PRI. The ESG approach is applied to equity asset classes and, since 2018, to credit.
• ODDO BHF Private Banking was launched in 2013 at the initiative of Oddo Partage.
• ODDO BHF Metals, our metals trading business, obtained ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) certification in 2015. These certifications, valid for three years, were renewed in 2018.
• In April 2018, ODDO BHF AM became a signatory to the Climate Action 100+ initiative, the goal of which is to facilitate a dialogue with the 100 largest greenhouse gas-emitting companies worldwide.

ODDO BHF’s human resources policy is also very active in CSR, particularly in:

• Facilitating professional development in line with employees’ wishes and Group needs
• Quality dialogue with the employee representative bodies and trade union organisations

Disability Mission

In 2007, a Disability Commission was created, which is made up of 15 employees who volunteered for the role, to establish an internal dynamic on the subject of disability. In 2013, the Disability Commission was expanded to a Disability Mission, a team made up of 22 people from all the ODDO BHF business areas, which aims to turn the dialogue project initiated by the Commission into a series of tangible actions, such as:

• Job retention for employees with disabilities
• New employee recruitment
• Partnerships with the sheltered work sector
• Raising employee awareness of this issue.

Sustainable Development Committee

In ODDO BHF, we have decided to engage and change our internal behaviour in terms of sustainable development. Consequently, we have created our Sustainable Development Committee in France with a representative from each business area and each site. This committee meets once a month to build on our ESG expertise and improve our day-to-day practices in terms of waste, sorting, etc.

ODDO BHF Acting for tomorrow

ODDO BHF Acting for tomorrow is an endowment fund for supporting research and managing emergencies. The endowment fund was created in 2012 to structure our social actions and involve Group employees in two areas:

• Mobilisation during emergency situations: natural, ecological, humanitarian disasters, ...
• Scientific and medical research support in conjunction with schools and universities

ODDO BHF Foundation: New pathways, new perspectives

Created in 1999, ODDO BHF Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation under German law, is the most important pillar of our social and cultural activities in Germany. The foundation is responsible for social projects, supports scientific projects of a socio-political nature and encourages contemporary artistic production.
