Manage our carbon footprint
We are aware that it is crucial to integrate climate change into our governance, strategy, risk management and operations in order to appropriately manage the physical and transition risks that could affect our Group.
We carry out regular Group-wide carbon footprint calculations to identify areas where we can reduce our emissions. This allows us to gain a more comprehensive understanding of our carbon footprint as a bank and to build and follow a suitable action plan.
Implement actions to reduce our emissions
We implement actions to reduce the Group’s carbon footprint around 5 main axes:
An ever-more responsible and low-carbon procurement policy: our procurement team evaluates our strategic suppliers via a dedicated platform and works to sourcing more socially responsible partners
Low-carbon mobility for business travels and commuting: incentives are implemented to encourage the use of soft mobility means for commuting, and to ensure that most business travels are made by train
Enhancing our responsible digital technology approach: ensuring that our IT equipment is energy efficient, and, once it becomes out of date, fully reused or recycled by specialized companies
Optimized use of buildings through energy and waste management as well as well-considered building design and fit-out aiming for sustainability labels
